SAFE &To travel with a cake in a car, place it on a flat, level surface, such as the car's floor or trunk, and use a non-slip mat for stability. Keep the car's air conditioning on to prevent the cake from melting, especially in warm weather, and drive carefully, avoiding sudden stops and sharp turns.

Before You Drive

Chill the cake: A cold cake with firm frosting is more stable and less likely to be damaged during transport.

Secure the cake in a box: Use a sturdy cardboard box that fits the cake board snugly to prevent it from sliding around. You can add a non-slip mat, like a shelf liner or yoga mat, under the box for extra grip.

Cool the car: Turn on the air conditioning and blast it on high to cool the car down before you put the cake inside.

During the Drive

Choose the right location: The flattest spots are the floor of the passenger side or the trunk. Never place the cake on a car seat because they are slanted and will cause the cake to slide.

Drive with care: Drive slowly and carefully, avoiding sudden starts, stops, and sharp turns. Be mindful of speed bumps and other road imperfections.

If You Need Extra Support

Recruit a helper: If possible, have someone sit in the passenger seat to hold the cake and provide support.

Use a portable cooler: You can create a makeshift portable refrigerator by lining a box with ice packs and placing the cake box inside.

SAFE & HAPPY TRAVELS!
